Reporting a Concern
If you have a concern about a child's safety or the behavior of an adult, follow these steps immediately:
- 1. Contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) immediately.
- 2. If a child is at immediate risk of harm, call 999.
- 3. Record exactly what was seen or heard without delay.
- 4. Maintain strict confidentiality; share only with authorized staff.

Code of Conduct
All YouthSpark representatives must adhere to these professional boundaries:
- Treat all young people with respect and dignity.
- Maintain professional boundaries (physical and digital).
- Avoid 1-on-1 situations without visibility or authorization.
- Use appropriate, inclusive language and behavior.
- Zero tolerance for discriminatory or abusive actions.
Safer Recruitment
We ensure that all adults working with children are vetted and qualified to do so through:
- Enhanced DBS Checks (where required)
- Comprehensive reference checks
- Safeguarding-specific interviews
- Mandatory annual safeguarding training
